May's Menu

This month always reminds me sunshine and the color green. After a long winter, and the back and forth of a Minnesota spring, May feels like a fresh start to me. The weather is mild, the plants are beginning to grow and after so many months, the leaves return to the trees. When I think about the warmer weather coming and more sunshine, I automatically think lemon!! So this month, I'm introducing a few lemony treats to the menu.
The sourdough lemon poppy seed scone is a fluffy blend of zesty lemon with the pop of sesame seeds. Lemon shortbread and lemon & lavender shortbread are melt in your mouth good and would make an amazing Mother's Day gift! My raspberry sweet rolls have a tangy sweetness and are topped with a raspberry cream cheese frosting. Speaking of raspberries, I have a new triple berry scone containing raspberries, blueberries and strawberries topped with a vanilla glaze. Plus, I am introducing two savory scones to the menu. The jalapeño cheddar and cheddar and chives scones are a perfect treat anytime of the day.
And finally, I am excited to offer cruffins on the menu. A cruffin uses the dough of croissant, twisted to fit in a popover tin and dusted with sugar after being baked. They're amazing and available now on the menu!
